Estimates on quantitative parameters are available only for strata classified as Forest according to the FAO 2000 adopted definition (that is the one adopted by the Italian NFI). It includes Natural and Semi-natural Forests , Plantations and Temporarily unstocked areas. The third phase survey did not involve plots previously classified as Other Wooded Land (about 17% of the Total Wooded Area). Tables are grouped into three components: living trees, deadwood (standing and lying) biomass and tree regeneration.
The attributes estimated within each group are described by tables referred to inventory categories and forest types for Natural and Semi-natural Forest and Plantation.
Quantitative attributes have been estimated at the national level and for each of the 21 administrative districts.
Tables are taken from the report INFC, 2008 - I caratteri quantitativi 2005 (INFC 2008 – The quantitative attributes 2005, only available in Italian).
