Manual weather station data

 

The manual stations of the Meteomont Service Service consist of detection plots equipped with specific devices (thermometer, etc..)placed at high altitude and bound and marked by appropriate signs. The Meteomont personnel daily gets to the plots to perform observations on current weather conditions and to record the following data:

- direction and wind speed;
- maximum and minimum air temperature;
- humidity;
- snow depth;
- snowfalls in the last 24 hours;
- snow temperature at the different layers.

Periodically, snowpack stability and penetrometer tests are carried out in the manual stations of Meteomont network
