The authomatic weather stations network of
Arma Carabinieri and Alpine Command Troops is composed by
approx 100 authomatic stations placed at the most important
altitudes and mountain slope aspects for their significant
weather, snow and avalanche features
Stations are equipped with sensors to
measure wind speed and direction, air temperature, relative
humidity, barometric pressure, rainfall, snow depth and
temperature gradient vertically measured in the snowpack.
